Kate middleton and william’s hidden third property on balmoral estate

Kate Middleton, 39, and Prince William, 38, have three children, Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two. The family live in Kensington Palace, which is their

main residence in London. They also have their country retreat, Anmer Hall, which they visit quite regularly.  Tam-Na-Ghar cottage, which is based on the Balmoral Estate in Scotland, also

belongs to the royal couple. It was gifted to William by the Queen mother before her death in 2002.  It is said that the Cambridges fell in love with the cottage while they were both

‘DESIRE’ TO BE QUEEN The Cambridges visited their cottage in the summer of 2019 with the children but due to the estate being extremely private, no photos of the cottage exist. A recent

programme on Channel 5, Secrets of the Royal Palaces shared a further insight into what the cottage could mean for Kate and William. Penny Junor, royal expert, said on the programme that

“there is an enormous freedom” at Tam-Na-Ghar due to the secluded nature of the property. Glynis Barber, narrator of the documentary, added: “It's the one palace they can almost

guarantee privacy which is probably why so many royal relationships have blossomed there. "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent time there when Kate was first being introduced to the

family." The grounds also house the Garden Cottage, which is where Queen Victoria spent a lot of her time, eating breakfast and writing her diaries.  The original cottage was a wooden

building which was completed in 1863 and occupied by a gardener, with two of the rooms set aside for Queen Victoria.  Gardens surround the cottage and it also overlooks the secluded water

garden, which was created to the west of the main garden. Kate and William spent their first lockdown at their Anmer Hall property in Norfolk. Anmer Hall was given to the Cambridges as a

wedding gift from the Queen. It sits on the Sandringham Estate which entered the Royal Family in the late 1880s after Queen Victoria bought it as a present for Edward VIII. Anmer Hall was

not initially included within the estate, but later became part of it.
