He has built the outstanding fortune through work as a presenter on many shows over the years. 

Growing up in Cornwall, the host had his first stint in the media when he was just 15-years-old.

Phillip worked on a Sunday show for Hospital Radio Plymouth before taking the position of booking clerk for the BBC two years later.

Moving to New Zealand when he was 19, Phillip built his fortune with his first onscreen role where he presented the children's show Shazam!.

In 1985, upon moving back to the UK, his television career continued and Phil worked on a number of children's TV shows for BBC.

As well as presenting, he showed off his acting skills by taking the lead role in the West End production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Phil later added to his wealth hosting shows including Schofield's Quest, Ten Ball and Talking Telephone Numbers.

He has also fronted the BBC shows National Lottery Winning Lines and Test the Nation.

Phillip first took his iconic role on This Morning in 2002 and presented the show across from Fern Britton.

The popular presenter signed a two-year contract with ITV in 2006 which was reportedly worth an eye-watering £5million.

Three years later, Holly Willoughby landed a job as his co-presenter and the duo have hosted weekdays on the programme ever since.

Phillip has presented other shows for ITV including Dancing on Ice and 5 Gold Rings.

In 2019, his salary doubled in just one year as it jumped from £803,000 to £1.73million.

As well as earning from his television career, Phil has topped up his bank account with endorsements with Waitrose and We Buy Any Car.

His salary for presenting This Morning was revealed to be £600,000 in 2017.

Earlier this year, this jumped up as the show's running time was extended by half an hour.

Both Phillip and Holly reportedly received a pay rise of £150,000.
