Seven minutes and 21 days: that’s the new goal for fitness according to Sam Clayton who launches a new home fitness program with Herbalife Nutrition this month. The former sprinter, 38, who
competed in the 200m and 4x100m at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney is a poster girl for fitness on the go, juggling a career as a fitness trainer and educator, four children and an active
life in LA’s Malibu with ease and positivity. When she’s not hiking in the Hollywood hills, she’s training up and coming sprinters or devising fitness programs like the new 21 Day Challenge
– an innovative program that’s split into advanced or beginners courses and is designed to help you up off the couch and adapting better fitness habits. From burpees to squats and lunges,
the workouts may be short but they’re not particularly sweet with plenty of sweat-inducing moves to work every inch of your body. _“It’s all about efficient use of time,” says Sam. “Results
are achieved by fusing short blasts of physical activity with good nutrition and hydration habits. Not many of us have the time to while away in the gym these days. We need access to quick
solutions that deliver us results and that’s what the 21 Day Challenge is all about.”_ Sam, a self-confessed fitness addict, trains her body every day through a variety of different
disciplines including running, strength training, hiking and yoga. “_Exercise is like medicine for me_,” she says. “I_ love hearing and feeling my heart beating and the sore feeling the next
day that indicates to me that I’m changing my body.”_ And for those of us that don’t love fitness quite so much? “Slow and steady wins the race,” says Sam. The key is to plan to be active
on at least five days of the week. Small increments are often better than one large bout. Try to accumulate exercise minutes when you can squeeze it in. Tempted? Head to
www.herbalifeblog.co.uk to access the workouts.
