Testicular cancer symptoms are typically a a painless swelling or lump in one of the testicles or any change in shape or texture of the testicles, according to the NHS. The health body
explains: “The swelling or lump can be about the size of a pea but may be larger.” But testicular cancer can also cause other symptoms - a less notable sign is a difference between one
testicle and the other. Other symptoms include an increase in the firmness of a testicle, a dull ache or sharp pain in your testicles or scrotum, which may come and go, and a feeling of
heaviness in your scrotum. Most lumps or swellings in the scrotum are not in the testicle and are not a sign of cancer. SO WHEN SHOULD YOU SEE YOUR GP? You should see your GP if you notice a
swelling, lump or any other change in one of your testicles. Testicular cancer may be rare, with research showing less than 4 per cent of scrotal lumps or swellings to be cancerous, but if
you do have testicular cancer, the sooner treatment begins, the greater likelihood that you will be completely cured. If the testicular cancer has spread to other parts your body you may
experience other symptoms. When cancer spreads to other parts of the body it is down as metastatic cancer. The NHS says: “The most common place for testicular cancer to spread to is nearby
lymph nodes in your abdomen or lungs. Lymph nodes are glands that make up your immune system. “Less commonly, the cancer can spread to your liver, brain or bones.” Symptoms of metastatic
testicular cancer can include a persistent cough, coughing or spitting up blood, shortness of breath and a swelling and enlargement of male breasts. Other signs are a lump or swelling in
your neck and lower back pain. Are more common type of cancer is bowel cancer, but the symptoms can be less obvious than those of testicular cancer. Tiredness for no apparent reason can be a
sign of bowel cancer as it may be a result of blood loss from your bowel, which can result in anaemia, according to Bupa. Anaemia is when there are too few red blood cells in your blood.
But there are four other symptoms linked to the disease that should be noted. Blood in your poo - this may be mixed into your poo or flecks on the surface or you may see it in the toilet or
on toilet paper. There are five other signs that could indicate bowel cancer.
