Laura Ashley, which has its headquarters in London, is a textile design company, founded by Welsh fashion designer and businesswoman Laura Ashley. The diverse company specialises in various
forms of design including retailing furniture, home accessories, decorating and fashion. Following the licensing agreement, Future Retail will have the right to purchase merchandise for
sale in India. This includes the right to manufacture, or order the manufacture, of the licensed products. The Future Group said in a statement: "Future Retail Ltd, part of the Future
Group, and Laura Ashley have signed an exclusive right and licence to establish, own and operate stores and websites in India." Future Retail will also have the right to carry out
wholesale distribution of the products. The Laura Ashley group is a worldwide company which trades in 446 stores in various countries. 194 of these stores are located in the UK, Ireland
