The original 1960s supermodel makes a dazzling cover star in the January issue of Woman & Home magazine. Wearing a satin tuxedo jacket and sparkling, skin-tight leggings, the fashion
icon shows off a figure and face to-die-for, despite stating she has never having had any plastic surgery. “Cosmetic surgery is getting so common now and can be scary – it’s sometimes like
looking at someone wearing a mask,” she tells the magazine. “I haven’t had anything done yet, but maybe I’ll hit 70 and think it’s time to have something done.” She adds: “I would never,
ever use Botox, though. It’s poison. It’s basically botulism – why would you inject your face with that? I can’t understand it.” The star has one daughter, Carly, 33, and a stepson, Jason
(nicknamed Ace), who is 35. Twiggy in the January issue of Woman and Home magazine Twiggy believes that life is harder for young people now than it was when she was starting out in modelling
at 16. “The state of the world is so scary at the moment and I think, when I was starting out, we had a much easier time than youngsters now,” she says. “It’s terrible that kids are leaving
university and not getting jobs. It really troubles me. I wish there was a magic answer.” Twiggy, who was born Lesley Hornby in Neasden, Middlesex, in September 1949, is certainly not all
talk and no action on the issue. She reveals that she and her husband Leigh Lawson recently wrote to the Government. “I believe so strongly in free education and it particularly worries me
that certain kids won’t be able to afford to go to university because of the cost,” she says. > Cosmetic surgery is getting so common now and can be scary – > it’s sometimes like

young people would still be to go to university if you possibly can.” The Marks & Spencer model lives between London and Suffolk with actor/writer Lawson, who is also her business
partner. And, although best known for modelling, the star has also been keeping herself busy with a new album, Romantically Yours. “Music and singing have been as much part of my life as
modelling – ever since I was in the musical movie The Boy Friend in 1971,” she explains. “So when I was approached about recording a new album earlier this year, I jumped at it.” The
songbook contains 12 well-known tracks from different decades. As for her beauty tips, Twiggy says the key to her evergreen look is moisturiser. “My golden rules for looking good are to
moisturise to ridiculousness with a really rich moisturiser. “And I always take my make-up off before going to bed. “I try to swim regularly and, because I have a bad lower back, I do
stretches two or three times a week for that.” The star will be celebrating Christmas at home and will be doing the cooking herself. “It’s my family who bring sparkle into my life,” she
says. Read the interview in full in the January issue of Woman & Home, on sale now. www.woman&home.com.
