Ola jordan supports strictly pros as she swipes at bbc scandal in 'curse' jibe

Ola Jordan has thrown her support behind all Strictly Come Dancing professionals as she hit out at the BBC show. Strictly has been shrouded in controversy in recent months following the

departures of both Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima. The Italian dancers have both been accused of gross misconduct towards their former partners, Amanda Abbington and Zara McDermott,

during their training sessions and were both sacked from the show. BBC executive Sam Bickley is thought to be "toughening up" the duty of care protocol, with Strictly now set to

introduce chaperones into all future rehearsals. The corporation will also add two dedicated welfare producers to the show's crew as part of a string of extra measures. Following the

news, Ola took to social media to share her opinion on the idea. On X, the 41-year-old wrote: "So apparently the couples on Strictly are now going to get chaperones. I’m all for this as

it will also protect the pro dancers." Ola, who was a pro on Strictly from 2006 to 2015, went on to mention the show's infamous curse, a term used by viewers and participants when

celebrities spark romances with their dance partners. She added: "BUT….. that could be the end of the 'Strictly Curse'," followed by three laughing emojis. Graziano has

been accused of "repeatedly kicking and hitting" Zara, 27, during their training sessions in 2023. The 30-year-old said he "deeply regrets" the events which led to his

departure, but claimed there are aspects of the story he "cannot discuss" at this time. Meanwhile Giovanni was dropped from the 2024 line-up after the BBC launched an investigation

into his alleged behaviour. Amanda, 50, accused the 34-year-old of "bullying" her during rehearsals and was diagnosed with mild PTSD after leaving the series midway through.

Giovanni has denied all claims made against him. The scandal has only deepened after a third professional dancer's name was reportedly given to lawyers. A source told The Sun: “A

professional’s name has come up, alongside Giovanni and Graziano. He is no longer part of the show but he has been named as a person of interest. Conversations are ongoing and there are more

people who need to be spoken to."
