Iceland is set to slash the prices of its ice lollies by a staggering 99% across all its stores, including those across towns and cities in Yorkshire, for one day only. This Sunday, June 1,
customers will be able to snag the frozen treats for a mere 1p. However, only the first 10,000 shoppers will be able to take advantage of this incredible offer, reports Birmingham Live. Paul
Dhaliwal, Chief Commercial Officer at Iceland Foods, explained: "We're kicking off summer with our biggest discount ever. "With household costs rising for Brits since April,
we wanted to start summer the right way, with a lip-smacking offer on some of our most popular ice lollies. On Sunday, we'll be reducing prices of selected treats by 99% and giving away
10,000 of these delicious ice lollies for just one penny." Customers will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of flavours, making this a sweet treat not to be missed. In
other news, the BBC Weather team has forecast a mixed bag for the UK's weather. According to their predictions: "Today any patches of rain in Wales, north England and north
Scotland will soon ease. A few showers will then develop in south and east Scotland and Northern Ireland. Dry and partly cloudy elsewhere." As the day draws to a close, "This
evening will see any lingering showers die out, leaving it dry with clear spells for most. Overnight, areas of cloud and mist will build across the north and west, bringing a few showers by
dawn. "Tomorrow, the north will see outbreaks of rain along with increasing winds, with a local risk of thunder. Mostly dry with sunshine in the south and south-east. Elsewhere, partly
cloudy with showers."
