ABOUT THE CLUB North Wilts Hockey Club is a hockey club based in Swindon. We have 3 senior ladies teams and 2 senior men’s teams as well as a junior section that caters for all abilities and

ages. We also run a very popular Sunday Social hockey section which caters for those new to hockey, returning to hockey and those who prefer not to play league hockey. REASON FOR THE

TOURNAMENT The North Wilts Summer Sixes hockey tournament is a friendly & competitive 6-a-side hockey competition with free camping held in Swindon, Wiltshire on Saturday 9th and Sunday

10th July 2022. This year is extra special as it is the club’s 20th year of hosting the tournament. The money generated by the tournament helps to support and fund the club for the following

season. Like many other clubs, the impact of the Covid pandemic meant that the club took a financial hit having lost 2 years’ worth of tournament revenue. To make up for the shortfall the

club have had to conduct a series of fundraising events this season and are planning to make this years tournament the biggest and best yet. ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT The 6-a-side matches are

fast & fun affairs. Matches are played on both the Saturday and Sunday and take place on a third of a pitch, using full size goals, rolling substitutes and most of the normal hockey

rules.  Think of a blend of indoor hockey style, energy, and pace, but played outside. Squads are a maximum of 12 players. Matches are officiated by the club’s own qualified umpires and are

centrally timed. The competition starts with a league format followed by two knockout competitions with a trophy for each winner. In addition to the hockey there will be an all-day themed

barbeque with vegetarian and vegan options, fully licensed bar, a cake and bake stall, games & attractions, and various vendors.  For more information and to enter a team please visit
