Reliance Jio unit hit 100 million subscribers in 170 days, chairman Mukesh Ambani announced today. During the Reliance Infocomm Limited press conference, Chairman Mukesh Ambani announced the


rollout of new tariff plans for Jio 4G services. Additionally, Ambani also announced a special offer for Jio’s initial 100 million initial customers, who he referred to as “the ambassadors


and co-founders of the Jio movement”. He also mentioned that on all of Jio’s tariff plans, all domestic voice calls to any network will always remain free- across India, to any network. And


no roaming charges, no blackout days, and no hidden charges. The main highlight of the announcement was the custom-made programme called the Jio Prime membership programme, for current Jio


customers, and Jio customers who join on or before 31st March. These Jio customers can enroll for the Jio Prime membership for a full year, for a nominal, one-time fee of only Rs 99.


Basically, Jio Prime members will get the unlimited benefits received during the Jio New Year Offer for another 12 months - until 31st March 2018. Prime members get the introductory price of


Rs 303 per month, effectively just Rs 10 per day, for another full year. This means that all services that users were enjoying under Jio’s Happy New Year offer will be covered under the Jio


Prime programme respectively. Users also have the option to choose from various other pre-paid and postpaid offers by Jio. For Rs 499, you can use 4GB of data, unlimited data between 2AM


and 5AM, 8GB of data on a JioNet Hotspot, access to Jio apps and unlimited SMS as well as a discount on ISD calls. This is valid for 28 days. For Rs 999, you can use 10GB of data, unlimited


data between 2AM and 5AM, 20GB of data on a JioNet Hotspot, access to Jio apps and unlimited SMS as well as a discount on ISD calls. This is valid for 28 days. For Rs 1,499, you get 20GB of


data, unlimited data between 2AM and 5AM, 40GB of data on a JioNet Hotspot and access to Jio apps and unlimited SMS. This is valid for 28 days as well.
