Celebrity masterchef viewers are inspired by "extraordinary" blind contestant amar latif

_Celebrity MasterChef _returned for another episode tonight (July 15) with a new line-up of famous contestants, including the show's first ever blind contestant. Television presenter

Amar Latif lost his sight aged 18 due to a genetic condition, but that hasn't stopped him travelling the world in some dangerous environments and abseiling down the side of a building

(while dressed as Batman, of course). Still, he admitted that he was a bit worried about how he would fare on the show, as the celebs had to cook for judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace and

then work a busy lunch shift in one of two fancy London restaurants. In the restaurant, Mortimer House in Fitzrovia, head chef Lello Favuzzi had set up some extra tools to help Amar find

the pans in the kitchen, and was very concise and supportive in explaining what he needed to do (although, as Amar explained on _This Morning _today, he didn't have any extra time).

Viewers were not only hugely impressed with Amar's skill in the kitchen and positive attitude, but also with chef Favuzzi for how he went out of his way to make Amar feel comfortable,

and with the show itself for being inclusive and doing it well. After the restaurant shift, the celebrities came back to the studio to cook for Gregg and John again. In the end, it was TV

presenter Jeff Brazier who was sent home, meaning Amar, Gethin Jones, Lady Leshurr and Felicity Montagu went through to the next round. _CELEBRITY __MASTERCHEF_ AIRS ON BBC ONE.
