the quest for love within the sun-kissed confines of a Majorca villa. Now celebrating its 10th anniversary, the addictive dating show has fans utterly hooked. But die-hard viewers are

itching for some fresh twists and have taken to Reddit to share the tweaks they want to see that could escalate the on-screen drama. A passionate fan unleashed their thoughts on the

r/LoveIslandTV forum, stating: "So with Love Island returning soon and it being the 10th anniversary, I really think they need to shake things up this year." Their post sparked a

frenzy, rallying over 300 comments all in agreement reports OK!, but what do fans want to see? Article continues below MORE 'NORMAL' CONTESTANTS One hot topic among fans is the

craving for genuine contestants over would-be fame-seekers. The initial crop of 2015 were pure-hearted in their search for romance. However, as Love Island's star rose, it magnetised a

crop of social media influencers accused of chasing clout rather than cupid's arrow. An exasperated Redditor penned: "Honestly I just want to see some normal people on there that I

can root for. I get that pool of people will be slim as basically all applicants will be celebrity wannabes, but can we at least get some people who don't have a trip to Bali as every

other Instagram photo? You know, normal people that maybe go on holiday an absolute MAXIMUM of 3 times a year." The sentiment resonated with others, prompting one fan to offer a tip on

finding genuine contestants. "Go to 30-40 random pubs and pick 1 person out of each, that's your LI scouting sorted for the year," they suggested. Should ITV chiefs take

notice, they may find their next batch of Love Island hopefuls lurking in local watering holes. MORE CHALLENGES In a separate plea for more drama and authenticity, viewers voiced out

they're thirsting for more challenges, insisting that kissing games simply won't do. One outspoken fan declared: "I won't shut up about this, but we NEED to bring back

the challenges. Not only are they silly and fun for us, but they create their own drama AND force people to explore/choose potentially outside their couple etc, so we don't get a bunch

of day one couples who are afraid of trying anything else." They added: "The kissing games are NOT the same, they don't count, they are so boring and usually just end in

bickering. Bleh." Love Island participants regularly face tasks designed to test the strength of their partnerships, yet the viewers are hankering for gutsier trials to really stir the

pot in the villa. HIDEAWAY REVAMP The hideaway got a roasting on the social media thread as well. Islanders get the chance to nip into the private room for some alone time with their other

half. But telly addicts reckon it's high time for a spruce up. "Can we talk about the hideaway?" one viewer piped up. They went on: "It's barely used and honestly

feels pointless at this stage. If they want to keep the idea, why not upgrade it to a small villa where a couple can actually spend the night away from everyone else - make it more special

and worthwhile." Another fan of the ITV show had a different twist in mind for the Hideaway, pitching it as a sort of "mini Casa Amor. "What if instead of sending two people

to the hideaway, you could send a singular person," they suggested. "Then, when they go into the hideaway, it's almost like a mini Casa Amor where they get like 3 hours to

meet 3 or 4 new people all at once and hang out, then they pick one to bring back into the villa. "Then it could be interesting to see how that new person comes in – if they stay with

the person that picked them, or if they find interest in the other people in the villa." For now, the Hideaway hasn't been given the Casa Amor treatment, but these cheeky ideas
