announcement that Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes. The broadcaster revealed that from January 2026, Good Morning Britain will air from 6am until 9.30am, while Lorraine

Kelly's morning talk show will be reduced to 30 minutes, only running for 30 weeks of the year. "GMB will be made by a dedicated team within ITV News at ITN," a press release

from ITV stated. "This change will see ITV bring all its national news gathering into one hub, with Good Morning Britain benefitting from the journalistic and production resources

already in place for national news bulletins, for the website and for digital platforms including ITVX." Lorraine is set to air for just 30 weeks of the year, broadcasting from

9.30am-10am during its run. When Lorraine isn't on, Good Morning Britain will fill the slot from 6am to 10am. This Morning, fronted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, will keep its usual

10am until 12:30pm weekday slot throughout the year. Loose Women will stick to its current 12.30pm to 1.30pm weekday slot but will also be trimmed down to 30 weeks of the year. Back in

February, ITV revealed that soap favourites Coronation Street and Emmerdale would have their weekly airtime reduced by an hour between them from next year. Over recent years, a dip in

advertising revenue has put the squeeze on funding across the telly industry. ITV Studios, the powerhouse behind the channel's daytime shows, is in talks with its teams about a proposal

to merge the production of its three distinct shows - Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women - into one shared resource and operation from 2026. Article continues below Meanwhile, GMB is

set to shift from ITV Studios to ITV News at ITN, consolidating all its national news gathering under one roof. GOOD MORNING BRITAIN AIRS WEEKDAYS ON ITV1 AND ITVX AT 6AM
