NEW CORONATION STREET SPOILERS HAVE CONFIRMED THE EXITS OF TWO WEATHERFIELD RESIDENTS, WITH A THIRD TEASED TO BE LEAVING THE COBBLES TOO IN UPCOMING SCENES 12:58, 28 May 2025 Coronation

Street spoilers have revealed the imminent exits of two characters from the ITV soap next week. Additionally, there's a hint that a third resident might also be making their departure.

It comes after one star announced his exit after 11 years. Fans were already aware that Sue Cleaver was set to leave her role as Eileen Grimshaw, following an announcement months ago after a

25-year stint on the show. It was also recently disclosed that Ryan Thomas would be reprising his role as Jason Grimshaw for a brief period, setting the stage for Eileen's exit

storyline. Now, fresh spoilers have pinpointed exactly when these two characters will bid farewell to the show, and it's sooner than you might think. There are also suggestions that

Eileen's partner George Shuttleworth could be leaving the cobbles, given his determination to relocate with her. Eileen is mulling over her future and questioning whether she wants to

continue her relationship with George. He's planning to pop the question this week, leading to some rather uncomfortable scenes when Eileen doesn't appear overly enthusiastic.

Spoilers for the upcoming week reveal that Jason will invite his mum to join him in Thailand, where he's established a business, reports the Mirror. He encourages her to become his new

business partner, and she's tempted. When George's name comes up, Eileen asserts that he won't want to move with her. However, when word reaches George, he's so eager to

prove Eileen wrong that he makes a grand gesture. He proposes to relocate with her and Jason, even going as far as booking a holiday as a trial run. But what's next for Eileen, and as

she gears up to bid farewell, will she stick with George? Fans are left wondering if a heartbreaking split is on the cards, or if George might be bowing out of the show as well. Audiences

will need to stay glued to their screens next week to see how it all unfolds, but one thing's for sure – come next Friday, June 6, Eileen and her son Jason will definitely be waving

goodbye to the show. This episode marks the swansong for both characters, and Sue's final appearance on the soap after an impressive run spanning more than 20 years. Sue spilled the

beans to The Mirror about her departure plot, admitting she had a say in it and was chuffed with the outcome. She detailed: "I said very much that I would like her to go off to pastures

new, you know, to kind of mirror what I'm doing in a sense. And I just think it's time for a change. So it was perfect. "I'm so happy with the ending, and I was so

humbled by it and the way it had been written and what it is. I felt very grateful to have such a wonderful ending written. It seemed very, very apt." The moment she knew she was

exiting, she insisted that co-star Ryan, who plays her on-screen son Jason, be part of her final episodes. She divulged: "Ryan was there from the start, and he was inconveniently living

in Thailand, and it wouldn't be too far of a jump to expect that if Eileen was going to make a leap, that she would involve her son. "And so when I decided to leave, like over a

year ago, I rang Ryan, and I said, 'Ryan, I'm going to tell them that I'm going, and if they ask me about exits, I'd really like to say that you'd come back and take

me out, but I don't know whether they'd go for it or not'. "And he just went, 'Oh my gosh, of course, I would', which was so lovely for me. And it was just so

nice to have him back and filming those final scenes with him. It just felt like I'd come full circle really." Article continues below WANT ALL THE BIGGEST SHOWBIZ AND TV NEWS
