MANCHESTER UNITED WILL BE BIDDING TO SALVAGE THEIR SEASON WITH VICTORY IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL IN BILBAO ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT 14:09, 20 May 2025Updated 14:23, 20 May 2025 Amad Diallo is on
a mission to go from Europa League hell to heaven with Manchester United. Diallo is hoping to be in Ruben Amorim's starting XI when United face Tottenham in a crunch Europa League final
in Bilbao on Wednesday. The clash promises to be the biggest in the recent history of both clubs, considering what is at stake. As well as lifting the trophy, the winners will book a place
in next season's Champions League, boosting club coffers by up to £100m. And there is another reason Diallo wants to return from northern Spain as a European champion. Diallo was part
of the United squad which reached the final in 2021, and he repeated the feat the following season with Rangers, where he was on-loan. Diallo watched his respective teams lose both games -
and he is hoping it will be third time lucky in northern Spain this week. The Ivorian international said: "Yes, I already lost two, so I hope to win this one. I keep praying for that
one. It will be really good for me, but also for the team because at the end of the day, we want some things at the end of the season. "I was on the bench before. I was young. I had no
experience, but it was a good experience for me to be in my first Europa League final with the team [United]. At the time, we had great players like [Paul] Pogba and [Edison] Cavani. It was
a dream for me, honestly. "But now it's my moment. It's the moment for the club, it's the moment for the players, for everyone, for the fans because they deserve this
moment. We will give everything, we will give our best to try and win this competition." Amad was one of United's few bright sparks in an otherwise shambolic season, before
suffering a serious ankle injury in training in February. He was expected to miss the rest of the season, but has battled back to full fitness in time for a game which promises to define the
tenure of boss Ruben Amorim. And Diallo is banking on the chance to prove why he thinks he can go on to become one of the best wingers in the world. He added: "It's a really good
feeling to be back on the team, to try to help the team try to win something at the end. "I was pressing (Andre) Onana, and then I think my left foot stayed on the grass and then
turned. In that moment I knew it wasn't really good, because I knew I'd miss some games. Article continues below "I didn't know if my season was really over. So after my
operation, I kept believing, I kept praying to be back before the end of the season. I'm always positive, I'm always smiling. That's me, that's Amad, so I always try to
grow up with positive things. "I think I believe in my potential. I believe I can be one of the best in the world. I just have to give my best every game. That's it. But I think I
believe in my potential. "And I think the manager believes in me. He believes in my potential. I'm trying to repay his confidence every time I'm on the pitch."
