Hamilton offered an apology to Sky Sports F1 reporter Rachel Brookes following a tense interview after the Spanish Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion was left frustrated after another

disappointing race for Ferrari, leading to him finishing sixth, behind the Haas of Nico Hulkenberg but ahead of Max Verstappen after the Dutchman received a 10-second penalty. Despite his

sprint victory in China, Hamilton is yet to climb onto the podium in scarlet, and he was left emotional when speaking to Brookes. When asked for his immediate thoughts on the race, Hamilton

responded: "Not particularly, it was not a great day. The strategy was good, the team did a great job. Just, that's it." Brookes replied, "I hate seeing you in this

mood." Which prompted a snappy comeback from the 40 year old: "Well what do you want me to say!? I had a really bad day and I've got nothing to say." Continuing, Hamilton

expressed: "It was a difficult day, I've got nothing else to add to it. There's no point explaining it. It's not your fault I've just not got anything to say."

Article continues below In an attempt to console the frustrated driver, Brookes suggested Ferrari might uncover some solutions, to which he bleakly retorted: "I'm sure they

won't, the answer is probably just me." Hamilton's gutted demeanour continued when he spoke to several of the world media. His spiky Sky interview caught the attention of many

on social media and prompted the Brit to apologise to Brookes privately, as her colleague David Croft revealed. "He was really down on himself and no one likes to see that," said
