Getty Images) Dart legend Bobby George has called for the arrows to be an Olympic sport. The King of Bling reckons there are dafter pursuits at the famous competition and says stepping up

the oche deserves to be contested at the Olympics.

Bobby, 79, moaned: "I spent a few evenings in front of the television watching the Olympic Games from Paris and couldn't believe what we were seeing.

‌ "Rock climbing and breakdancing being recognised as official sports? What's that all about? I've always thought it would be nice to see darts in the Olympics one day, it's not much

different to archery, is it?

put into it."

In his new memoir Still Here! Bobby revealed he was first to campaign for more respect for his game for more than 30 years.

Article continues below He said: "Seeing all those other 'sports' getting their opportunity brought back memories of the time back in the 1990s that I tried to get darts recognised as an

official sport.

don't.

‌ "'It's not a sport, it's just a pub game...' they say, and the bickering goes on and on. I decided back then that it was time to put an end to it and give them all a kick up the arse and

get it sorted."

Bobby enlisted the help of MP Bob Russell who managed to get darts acknowledged as a sport by the UK Sports Council.

He added: "So, next time you hear that argument starting up in your local, you can bring it to a quick resolution - darts IS a sport, thanks to the work put in by Bobby George and his MP,

Sir Bob Russell!"

‌As would Luke Humphries(Image: Getty Images) In another memoir revelation, Bobby revealed he keeps an amputated toe in a bottle of vodka in his home.The darts champ has had two toes removed

from each foot because of a painful genetic deformity. Doctors let him keep one of the toes, while the other three were disposed of, The Sun reports.

Bobby said: "Nobody believes me, or at least they don’t, until they see me without my socks on.
