FORMER TOP GEAR HOST JEREMY CLARKSON HAS BARRED THE CUSTOMER FROM HIS COTSWOLDS PUB - THE FARMER'S DOG - AFTER THEY COMPLAINED ABOUT THE PRICES OF FOOD ON HIS MENU 20:24, 06 Jun
2025Updated 20:35, 06 Jun 2025 Jeremy Clarkson has banned a customer from his pub for complaining about the price of a £24 pie. The former Top Gear host, 65, is the proud owner of The
Farmer's Dog pub in Oxfordshire, which he opened last August. The cosy Cotswolds boozer features in his hit show Clarkson's Farm, which has just aired its fourth season. However,
not everybody is welcome at Jezza's watering hole. He's already barred the likes of PM Keir Starmer and Clarkson's Top Gear chums James May and Richard Hammond from the pub,
and it looks like there's another name on the list. One punter wasn't too happy with the price of a steak and ale pie on Jezza's menu, which will set you back a hefty £24. He
took to X and wrote: "Jeremy Clarkson wanted an affordable pub for customers. £24 for a pie and veg is a bit much." Clarkson hit back: "Have you seen beef prices right now? If
you could make it for less, I’ll give you a job." The presenter has made it clear he's backing British farmers and only uses produce from the UK. Article continues below Another
asked: “Your cows aren’t they Jeremy?”. Jeremy fired back: "Clarkson replied: “Some are. Most come from other farmers in the area and we pay a premium. We are here to back British
farming. If you don’t want to do that, fine. Enjoy your chlorine." He later told the customer they were no longer welcome at the pub, adding: "You are now banned from the
pub." The Farmer's Dog's menu offers "steak pie, mash, carrots, seasonal greens & Hawkstone gravy" for £24. You can also get sausage and mash for £21 and the
cheapest main course offering is £20 for Wye Valley asparagus and garden pea Pearl barley. The soup of the day starter with sourdough bread and butter costs £8.50. Other fans were content
with the prices and defended Jeremy. One tweeted: "Was the best £24 spent! Fantastic meal there, great food and all local produce - stop whinging!" Another wrote: "Having
eaten in @JeremyClarkson’s pub and expecting it to be over hyped and average I was so impressed with the food we rebooked, as soon as we could, to repeat the experience. "It’s not cheap
food but the quality was outstanding." The pub’s website adds: “Our menu is made entirely with ingredients produced on British farms. It’ll change based on what’s in season, but it’ll
always be absolutely f****** delicious. Take a look and see what takes your fancy.” HAVE YOU JOINED THREADS? FOLLOW DAILY STAR TO KEEP UP TO DATE ON ALL THINGS SHOWBIZ HERE. Article
