THE PRESENTER HAS BEEN OPEN ABOUT THE FINANCIAL STRUGGLES OF RUNNING A FARM, DESPITE THE SUCCESS OF HIS AMAZON PRIME TV SHOW CLARKSON'S FARM, WHICH IS CURRENTLY ON ITS FOURTH SERIES
16:32, 03 Jun 2025 Jeremy Clarkson has dropped a bombshell about the grim prospects of farming this year, despite his hit Amazon Prime TV series. The motoring legend turned farmer, whose
show Clarkson's Farm is currently delighting fans in its fourth season with weekly episodes, admits that the success of the popular reality series doesn't mean his farm is
thriving. In a candid response to X, Jeremy Clarkson didn't mince words when discussing the farm's performance and suggested he could rake in more cash doing pretty much anything
else. His comments come hot on the heels of comparing farmers to miners, as mere "pawns for politicians". He's even quipped that flogging something entirely different could be
a bigger money-spinner than his agricultural endeavours. Clarkson's blunt remarks were in response to a user who praised Clarkson's Farm as "entertaining" but hinted it
was just a financial plaster for the farm's losses. The user had said: "Have watched all of the series, they're quite entertaining. But, please don't try to tell me he
earns more from farming than from Amazon Video" To which Clarkson retorted: "I could earn more from selling my toe nail clippings than farming. And I have a horrible feeling that
this year will be worse than ever." Article continues below The ex-Top Gear star isn't just sitting back though; he's been brainstorming ways to draw crowds to his farm,
including mulling over an "outdoor cinema" idea he mentioned back in May. When fans floated the idea of setting up a picnic spot to sell local goodies, Clarkson revealed
there's already been chatter about "that very thing". A fan suggested to Clarkson: "Why don't you put a big screen projector TV on your farm and make picnic baskets
of your produce or allow people to have picnics using local produce and encourage food trucks etc. Bring back the outdoor cinema for sunset screenings. It's so fun." Clarkson
responded with intrigue: "Been talking about that very thing today." This comes amid mixed reactions from fans over the pricing of his pie and vegetables at The Farmer's Dog,
a pub run by the celebrity. One critic pointed out: "Thought Jeremy Clarkson wanted an affordable pub for customers. £24 for pie and veg is a bit much." Not one to shy away from a
challenge, Clarkson jumped into the conversation, offering a cheeky job proposition: "Have you seen beef prices right now? If you could make it for less, I'll give you a job."
Article continues below The original commenter later admitted their uncertainty about fair pricing due to fluctuating costs, saying: "To be honest I wouldn't know what is a decent
price anymore. Constantly changing." Another chimed in with a bit of banter: "It ain't Wetherspoons, pal." Meanwhile, a satisfied customer defended The Farmer's
Dog's fare: "Was the best £24 spent! Fantastic meal there, great food and all local produce - stop whinging!"
