ZOE REBECCA CALLED AN UBER OUT OF 'SHEER PANIC' WHEN SHE SPOTTED A SPIDER CRAWLING ACROSS HER HALLWAY 11:00, 10 Oct 2024 A mum with a fear of spiders has revealed she was so scared
after spotting one in her home that she called an Uber so the driver could get rid of it. Zoe Rebecca, 28, who lives in Newcastle, saw the spider in her hallway and begged her pals to come
round and remove it – but when none were free she called the Uber out of "sheer panic". The nurse, booked a driver to take her to a nearby supermarket but when it arrived at her
home, she admitted the real reason he'd been summoned. READ MORE: MCDONALD'S RIDICULED AS BROKEN ICE CREAM MACHINES AROUND UK MAPPED IN REAL-TIME _CLICK FOR MORE OF THE LATEST NEWS
FROM ACROSS THE WORLD FROM THE DAILY STAR._ The bloke agreed to get rid of the arachnid and received a £5 tip on his Uber account from Zoe, despite him kindly saying he was happy to help
and even cancelling the job. Zoe said the driver was a "legend", adding: "It was £4.96 but when he got here I told him that I didn't need a lift but wanted him to get rid
of a spider. He thought I was joking but agreed to do it when he realised I was serious. It was worth the money. "I can't get near a spider without retching. One time, I retched
so loudly my son thought I was dying.'' READ MORE: Spanish locals file formal complaint as popular beach completely overrun with touristsREAD MORE: New documentary reveals Nicola
Bulley's partner was never suspect in disappearance Zoe said her ex, who she was with for 10 years, used to catch all the spiders in her home and and that her "biggest mistake in
leaving him" was she left herself without anyone to help her get rid of them. Zoe said she will have to "download Tinder now" so she can find a new boyfriend who can catch
them for her. She also told how when she spotted a huge spider in her shower in the past, she asked for help in a community Facebook group because none of her pals were available to help -
and a stranger came round and tried to catch it. Zoe said they lost the spider in the bathroom so it is now "out of use" and she has "barricaded" it. She apparently
considered calling an Uber for £10.66 on that occasion too, adding it "would have been worth it". READ MORE: Owner of 5-star food pub begs ‘give us a chance’ after new venue has
‘very tough’ opening She explained she is now having to use a neighbour's home to shower, but fears the spider may appear when she is washing herself there, saying: "I just know if
I get in to have a wash it'll appear. " She claimed its legs are so big it could rival Brit Olympic legend Tom Daley while swimming, so she "won't take any
chances". Zoe said she has previously called on lads who worked at a garage across the road from her former home to catch spiders for her, and has given them ice cream for helping her.
She said: "People who can stomach spiders are elite members of society who we need to protect at all costs." The mum-of-one says has been terrified of the spiders since she lived
in home infested with them when she was a child. She added: "I have always been scared of them. I grew up in a council house in Gateshead where there were spiders everywhere. "My
mam had to put our food in Tupperware boxes as spiders would roam the cupboards and get in our food. I would be in bed and a spider would run across it. It was horrendous. I can't sleep
if I know a spider is on the loose. You always hear 'they are more scared of you than them' but that isn't true - we are definitely more scared." Article continues below
