NOT QUITE 'LOOK MUM NO HANDS' BUT CLOSE - FELLAS HAVE NOW PERFECTED THE ONE HANDED WEE BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO TAKE A TOILET BREAK FROM SCROLLING, SWIPING, TEXTING OR

VIEWING SIAN HEWITT 20:20, 30 May 2025Updated 16:31, 31 May 2025 Mobile phone usage has made millions of men wee one handed. Fellas have become so addicted to screens that one in three young

men check their phone every time they go to the loo. A recent study has revealed that men have changed the way they go to the toilet so they don’t have to stop scrolling. Research from

mobile network operator Talkmobile – who believe mobiles should help not hinder everyday life – has revealed how millions of men have learned to zip and go with just one hand, leaving the

other hand free to use the phone keypad. A whopping 30% of Gen Z men, aged 18 to 27, check their phone every time they visit the bog, according to the survey of 2,000 adults. A further 18%

of those asked told researchers they ‘nearly always’ have a cheeky toilet scroll. Article continues below And women are also not innocent when it comes to the habit. More than a quarter of

Gen Z women toilet scroll ‘every’ visit, and nearly one in 10 say it’s something they ‘nearly always’ do. In total a massive quarter of all Brits admit to routinely checking their phone

while using the loo – with one in 10 checking it ‘every time’ and a one in 10 ‘nearly always’ looking. Millennial men are Britain’s second biggest toilet scrollers, with 28% of males aged 28

to 43 checking their phone during ‘every’ visit – compared to just 16 of women of the same generation. A Talkmobile spokesman said: “We urge all our customers to be disengaged before they

become engaged.” This follows more peeing advice, which urged people to stop having a wee in the shower. Medics warned that peeing in the shower that it can cause long-term damage, including

incontinence and in some cases even kidney damage. American urogynaecologist Dr Teresa Irwin took to TikTok in an attempt to stop people from engaging in the habit which is reportedly

committed by 60-80 per cent of the public, polls suggest. In the clip Dr Irwin claimed that urinating while showering trains the brain to associate the sound of running water with needing to

urinate. Article continues below Speaking to her 90,000 followers, she said: “It's kind of like Pavlov's dog training where every time they heard a little bell ring they will

start to salivate. _FOR THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS AND STORIES FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE FROM THE DAILY STAR, SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTERS._
