Wrestling legend R-Truth has confirmed that he’s been released from WWE, closing the curtain on one of the most unique and decorated careers in modern wrestling history. The 53-year-old,

whose real name is Ronnie Aaron Killings, shared the emotional news just days after facing wrestling behemoth John Cena in a featured match during Saturday Night’s Main Event. Posting on X,

he wrote: “I’m sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride. Thank

you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you” Killings, born January 19, 1972, is best known for his 17-year tenure in WWE, where he performed

under the name R-Truth. Article continues below He originally debuted in the World Wrestling Federation as K-Kwik in 1998, teaming with “Road Dogg” Jesse James and winning the WWF Hardcore

Championship twice. After being released in 2002, Killings became a major star in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where, under the name Ron “The Truth” Killings, he made history as the

first African-American to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, a title he held twice. While in TNA, he formed a popular group called 3 Live Kru with BG James and Konnan, and they won

the tag team titles twice. He later partnered with NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones to win another tag team championship before leaving the company in 2007. Killings returned to WWE in 2008

as R-Truth and quickly won over fans with his energy, charisma, and sense of humour. Over the years, he won several titles, including the United States Championship, tag team titles with

Kofi Kingston and The Miz, and a record-setting 54 reigns with the WWE 24/7 Championship. He also competed in main events during the early 2010s, including matches for the WWE’s top
