to trim their body hair this summer and part of it is to make their muscles look bigger. This over a quarter (26%) more than five years ago and the reasons why may vary, with some seeking to

boost their confidence, enhance their appearance, or showcase their muscles by going hairless. One in seven men admit to "borrowing" grooming tools from their partners, with items

such as hair removal cream, electric shavers, and ven tweezers 'going missing.' Men in relationships are more likely to groom (59%) and prioritise their physique compared to

single men. According to new research from Currys, British men are gearing up for their smoothest summer yet, with almost half (47%) planning to trim their body hair. The 18-24 age group is

driving this trend, with over three-quarters (76%) planning to shave ahead of the summer. London chaps are the most eager to get their bodies beach-ready, with a whopping 62% planning a

summer trim. In contrast, the blokes of the West Midlands seem to prefer the rugged look, with only 37% intending to spruce up. Intriguingly, it's the fellas in relationships who are

more likely to reach for the razor, with 59% set to shave, compared to just 41% of single lads. Those coupled up (41%) are also nearly twice as likely to focus on their physique than their

single mates (21%). Despite the enthusiasm for a sleeker silhouette, men often face grooming gaffes. Nearly three in 10 (29%) have suffered cuts and scrapes, with the 25 to 34 age group

proving the clumsiest—45% have had a mishap during hair removal. While many men have the intention, they often lack the proper kit. More than 4 in 10 (41%) purchase grooming gear less

frequently than once a year or not at all. However, this doesn't deter them from achieving a smoother look, with over 1 in 7 (16%) confessing to "borrowing" their

partner's products. Article continues below Northern Irish and London men (30% and 25% respectively) are the most likely to "borrow," with hair removal cream (42%), electric

shavers (37%), and even tweezers (31%) being the most commonly swiped items. While a quarter (25%) of men groom daily, more than 1 in 3 (39%) keep mum about their grooming habits when

chatting with other blokes.
