THE FYVIE CASTLE IN THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL FOR THE ROLE 12:24, 11 Apr 2025 For those seeking to blend a passion for hospitality with the charm of
Scotland’s rich heritage, a new opportunity at Fyvie Castle in Aberdeenshire could be the perfect fit. The National Trust for Scotland is currently seeking a Visitor Services Supervisor for
Weddings & Events to manage operations at this stunning location, offering a rare chance to work in one of the country’s most iconic landmarks. Fyvie Castle, a remarkable 800-year-old
fortress nestled in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, has long been a premier venue for weddings and corporate events. The historic property is renowned for its stunning architecture,
picturesque grounds, and rich history, making it the perfect backdrop for memorable occasions. Now, with the launch of this new position, the Trust is looking for an experienced events
professional to help manage and deliver unforgettable experiences for visitors and clients alike. The role of Visitor Services Supervisor (Weddings & Events) at Fyvie Castle is a pivotal
one, with the responsibility of ensuring the smooth running of the castle’s events and weddings. This position is not for the faint-hearted, as it involves working long and often unsociable
hours, including weekends and evenings, to ensure the success of the estate's events calendar. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, assertive, and creative, with a flair for
hospitality and event management. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including the planning and delivery of events, liaising with corporate and
private hire clients, and managing a small team of staff and volunteers. Key responsibilities include coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless customer service during
functions, managing health and safety protocols, and overseeing event logistics. The supervisor will also work closely with the Operations Manager to achieve financial and reputational
objectives for Fyvie Castle. The successful candidate will play an integral part in expanding the property’s events offering, helping to build relationships with new and existing
stakeholders while ensuring that each event aligns with the Trust’s strategic themes. From intimate weddings to large corporate events, the role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to
the heritage sector while working in a setting steeped in history. JOIN THE DAILY RECORD WHATSAPP COMMUNITY! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp
