East Kilbride days after a teenager died at Irvine Beach. Kayden Moy, from the South Lanarkshire town, was allegedly stabbed at the Ayrshire beauty spot on Saturday May 17. The 16-year-old
was rushed to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock but tragically died from his injuries on Sunday. Since then, a cordon has been put in place along a grass verge at a large section of the
walkway near to Halfmerke Primary School, in East Kilbride, with officers standing guard since the weekend. Locals have been urged to avoid the area and take alternative routes as the
investigation continues. Police confirmed to the Record the cordon is linked to the probe into the schoolboy's death. A spokesperson said: “Officers are conducting enquiries as part of
an ongoing investigation into the death of Kayden Moy in Irvine.” Emergency services were called to the beach on Saturday evening after receiving reports of a seriously injured youth. On
Tuesday May 20, a teenager appeared in court charged with the murder of the teen. The 17-year-old from East Kilbride, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff
Court. He was also charged with carrying an offensive weapon and attempting to pervert the court of justice. The boy made no plea or declaration. He was remanded in custody while the case
