Cops hunt masked men over 'machete' attack at garage owned by daniel crime gang

THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN EAST KILBRIDE YESTERDAY, MONDAY MAY 19. 12:46, 20 May 2025Updated 15:54, 20 May 2025 Police are hunting a trio of masked men after a 'machete' attack at

a garage owned by gangland figure Robert Daniel Snr. The targeted attack took place in outside the 50-year-old's accident repair shop, in Wilson Place in East Kilbride on Monday. A gang

of masked assailants attacked a 45-year-old man and a 41-year-old man. One victim was taken to University Hospital Hairmyres while the other was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University

Hospital in Glasgow. Detectives probing the attack said a blue Audi A5 was later found torched in the nearby town of Blantyre, in the Boswell Drive area, on Monday night. The incidents are

being treated as linked. It is the latest in a series of attacks on members of the Daniel crime clan. Police were seen at the workshop combing the scene and searching inside the building.

Detective Superintendent Martin McGhee said: "We believe this was a targeted incident. From our enquiries so far, we believe the car that was set on fire was also used in the earlier

serious assault. "I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed either of these incidents to contact us as soon as possible. In addition, anyone who has CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam

footage is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist our enquiries." McGhee added: "We understand these incidents will be concerning for the local community but please be

reported that his cousin Kelly 'Bo' Green's home on Drumchapel Road in Glasgow was attacked in the early hours of the morning. Kelly, 45, is the daughter of late kingpin Jamie

Daniel and she is the widow of crime clam enforcer Kevin 'the Gerbil' Carroll who was famously shot dead in an Asda car park in Robroyston in 2010. Kelly and Gerbil's

youngest son was believed to have been in the house when it was torched. Bonzo's fortified home on John Marshall Drive was torched in the early hours of April 14. Footage shared by Tamo

Junto showed a man standing outside the large detached house, dousing petrol over the windows and door, before another thug runs up and sets it alight. Flames quickly engulfed the front of

the building. The clip, set to the tune of Keep on Running by The Spencer Davis Group, then switches to the home of Bonzo's uncle Norman Daniel on nearby Colston Drive. The small

bungalow is seen catching fire before the screen turns black. Five days later, on April 19, a house registered to Bonzo's mum Annette was attacked. Images from the scene at Cortmalaw

Gardens in Glasgow showed the property's windows appearing to be smashed in. Garage boss Robert Daniel was gunned down by rivals outside his home in Glasgow in an unrelated attack in
