A 46-YEAR-OLD MAN WAS HOSPITALISED WITH "SERIOUS INJURIES" FOLLOWING A CRASH INVOLVING A VAN ON WEDNESDAY, MAY 14. 12:00, 20 May 2025 A pedestrian was left with "serious


injuries" following a crash involving a van in Ayr last week. Emergency services were called to the scene on Beresford Terrace at the junction with Parkhouse Street following the


incident at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 14. A 46-year-old man, the pedestrian, was taken to hospital for treatment where his injuries were described as "serious" as a result of


the crash which involved a white Vauxhall Vivaro. The van driver, a 39-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released pending further enquiries.


Police are now appealing for information and dash cam footage to help establish the full circumstances of the crash. Constable Ashleigh MacLachlan of the Road Policing Unit said: “Our
