Mafs' jules robinson trolled on social media for dumping mel lucarelli

after receiving a backlash from furious Married At First Sight fans. Fans of the show have criticised her for disinviting her former best friend, Melissa Lucarelli, from her wedding, which

will be televised on Channel Nine on Tuesday. After Jules posted a photo of herself, husband Cameron Merchant and MAFS co-star Heidi Latcham posing together before the wedding, viewers

called her 'cruel' for brutally dumping Mel from the bridal party via text message. Scroll down for video  'Where's Mel? Bit rude to discard her the way you did. Thought

you two [Cam and Jules] were so cool and real - not anymore,' one person wrote. 'Are you going to do the same to Heidi eventually that you did to poor Mel?' asked another.

'Poor Mel didn't deserve what you guys did to her. Now [it's] all about the money with you. Thought you guys were awesome, not anymore.' 'What kind of person does

that to a friend?' a third fan commented. 'Why do you even need to televise your wedding?'  Jules was eventually forced to switch her Instagram comments to 'limited'

to stop the social media backlash. Meanwhile, Mel's account was flooded with supportive comments from fans who had taken her side in the feud. 'Happy people don't go around

hurting others - Jules is clearly unhappy and totally threatened by your beauty and beautiful nature,' wrote one. Another commented: 'That's actually horrible. Seems stardom

has gone to her head and the media attention means more.'  In a heartbreaking Instagram post on Sunday, a tearful Melissa described Jules' decision to abruptly drop her as a

bridesmaid as 'cold' and 'hurtful'.  'I've had so many messages and people keep asking me what the story is. So yes, it is true, Jules dumped me as a

bridesmaid,' she began.   'As for why, I'm honestly not sure... she kept changing her reasons and none of them made sense.  'It really all just came out of the blue and I

didn't see it coming at all. Of course you're allowed to change your mind about who you want as a bridesmaid, but I just feel like the way it was done was really cold and rather

hurtful.' Melissa was especially upset that Jules had dumped her so close to the wedding day. She also felt publicly humiliated because Jules and Cameron's wedding will be

televised on A Current Affair on Tuesday and viewers will notice her absence.  'I guess it just makes the public dumping of you as a bridesmaid for no reason that little bit more

embarrassing, hurtful, confusing,' she said.  'I wish I was never asked to be a bridesmaid in the first place so I wasn't in this position.' Former MAFS star Tamara Joy

also chimed in, backing up Mel and accusing Jules of using her 'as a pawn' to promote her televised nuptials. She said: 'I think Mel was very graceful in the way that

she's approached the rumours and the way that she's addressing the fact she did get dumped and she's not in the wedding.'  'I just want to give Mel my full support

here and I just think she was used as a pawn in Jules' game and I really just want to expose that because that's exactly how I see it,' she added. Tamara went on to say that

she believes Mel was publicly asked to be a bridesmaid on MAFS and then dumped to create publicity for Jules and Cam's 'real' wedding. Cam and Jules' wedding special will

air Tuesday from 7pm on A Current Affair
