Ikea fans impressed by woman who decorated hall with £90 furniture

A woman has impressed fellow homeowners after revealing how she decorated her home with Ikea furniture. Taking to TikTok, lifestyle and DIY blogger MyNorfolkNest uploaded a video of her

hallway, which shows an Ikea cabinet against the wall that keeps all her shoes neatly tucked away and out of sight, but still easy to access. Many people in the comment section were

impressed by how 'pretty' the cabinet in her hallway looks, especially after she uploaded a separate video demonstrating how she jazzed the cabinets up with gold handles and

customised wood trims. The cabinet she bought is Ikea's STÄLL Shoe Cabinet, which comes with four compartments and costs £90. The TikToker added fluted wood panels to each drawer

compartment, painting them the same white as the rest of the cabinet, and drilled in gold pull handles. Both videos have been watched more than two million times each. The TikToker captions

the one: "Holds 16 pairs!! 2 Ikea STALL cabinets customised with wood trim." One viewer called David asked: "How did you make them pretty?" MyNorfolkNest said: "I

added some panelling!" Louie said: "Stunning." Ally said: "Beautiful." Gypsy added: "Love this." Alicia said: "Nice work." On the Ikea website,

it says the STÄLL Shoe Cabinet "takes care of your footwear in the best way". The store claims: "It helps you stay organised in the hallway and also saves important floor

space. "Shoe storage with a sense of style, function and quality! Helps you organise your shoes and saves floor space at the same time. In the shoe cabinet, your shoes get the

ventilation and the space they need to keep them like new for longer." It adds: "The cut-out handles have a metal edge that makes the shoe cabinet more durable and is a

characteristic design detail. The legs make it easy to access and clean under the shoe cabinet. As the cabinet only has legs at the front, it can stand close up to the wall above the

skirting-board." In the review section of the STÄLL Shoe Cabinet, one shopper said: "Looks really expensive in my hallway. Great quality." A second put: "I have 2 of

these next to each other on the landing. They look good and store a lot of items - shoes in one and other household items in the other." A third wrote: "Easy to make up and looks

great in the hall." A fourth said: "Lovely item, easy to build, holds a lot of shoes, even though it is narrow. Would definitely recommend." Another fan said: "This is

perfect it holds so many shoes and it’s slim against the wall go on buy it you will love it." However, someone said: "Poor quality from ikea draws out of line and Not central. Not
