essential.  Your dog will need specific vaccinations and health checks, and paperwork must be in order ahead of time. Some procedures are time-sensitive, so it is important to plan early.

However, if your dog is considered a dangerous breed under French law, specific insurance is required.  You are also legally responsible for any damage your dog causes – usually covered by

ADOPTING A DOG IN FRANCE There is a formal process for adopting or buying a dog in France. Buyers must sign a certificate agreeing to care for the animal and will be registered on the I-CAD
