visit the Schengen area is to rise from June 2024, the European Commission has confirmed to The Connexion. The 90-day visas are required for people from countries which do not have a

visa-free travel arrangement to enter and travel through France and other countries in the Schengen area. Many countries do not have visa-free travel arrangements to the Schengen area, which

means travellers need a visa for short visits. This includes people from: * India * Qatar * Saudi Arabia * South Africa * Turkey People from the UK and US do not require a visa to visit the

visas will cost €90 for adults and €45 for children between the ages of six and 12.  They will remain free for children under six. Until June 11, they cost €80 for adults and €40 for

children between the ages of six and 12. The European Commission told The Connexion that the rise in price is due to “increased costs and the environment of inflation affecting member state

countries in recent years.” “The price adjustment was guided by objective data from the EU’s statistics office Eurostat.” For more information on visas and residency cards for France and
