already he has attracted the attention of satirical Canal+ show Petit Journal. His latest proposal - to supply shirts bearing the Herault town’s coat of arms - will provide the nightly
broadcast with further material for a new occasional segment called Béziers City, according to the leader of the council’s opposition, Pascal Resplandy. The first episode of Béziers City
mocked the new bylaw banning residents from drying laundry on balconies in certain areas of the town. Mr Ménard’s proposal to provide shirts with the town’s logo free of charge would be
“bread and butter” for the Canal+ show, Mr Resplandy told local newspaper Midi Libre. The shirts will be made available to all families with children of nursery and primary age. No one is
