THE AVERAGE PRICE FOR A PACKAGE HAS FALLEN BY 10% IN THE PAST YEAR Mobile phone prices are falling in France for the first time in months, with the average price of a package having
decreased by more than 10% year-on-year. Monthly packages have decreased by 7.1% in the last month, and by 11.35% overall over the past year, show comparison figures from the Zone ADSL &
Fibre comparison tool (reports La Dépêche). The average price of a package overall is now €13.37 per month, compared with €15.08 in April 2024 (for a 3 year 100 GB package). WHICH ARE THE
CHEAPEST DEALS AVAILABLE? Package prices available still depend significantly, of course, on your terms. This includes the length of your contract (e.g. 12, 24 or 36 months), how much ‘free’
data you can use (e.g. 30, 50 or 100 GB), and how many unlimited calls and texts your price includes. The total amount you pay a month also depends on whether you are buying the device too
and the type of phone you have. Some of the lowest-priced packages in the country (for a very low data allowance of 1GB) now include: * Sosh, Red by SFR, B & YOU, Auchan Télécom, and
NRJ Mobile: All offer packages for €1.99 per month for 1GB of data and unlimited calls in France. * Free Mobile has also changed its lowest package (€2 per month package) to include 1GB of
data and unlimited calls (an increase from the package’s previous 50 MB data and two hours of calls). Most people will use more than 1GB of data per month, however, unless they only use
their phones when connected to WiFi. Yet, some brands in particular have seen a “drastic drop” in the price of packages overall, the comparison tool said. These are: * Red by SFR: The
average cost of its mobile package, running over 36 months, is now €7.99 per month (depending on the allowances included) * YouPrice: €8.14 per month * Prixtel: €8.28 per month Other brands
to see a drop in package price include the other ‘digital-only’ major operators Bouygues Telecom, Orange, and SFR. * B & YOU * Sosh Another tariff comparison tool, Ariase, has also
observed similar changes. Its own searches found that packages that offer 20 GB per month, over 24 months, for a new customer, now cost on average €10.18 per month. This represents a drop of
11% over one month and 31.8% over one year and are the lowest prices recorded by Ariase since 2020, it said. Read more: Four tips for saving money on internet and mobile contracts in France

with their averages including: INTERNET BOX PRICE INCREASE In contrast to mobile contracts, the price of internet boxes for fibre internet packages is rising, said Zone ADSL & Fibre. It
saw a 3.3% increase in April 2025, mainly as a result of: This means that the current average monthly price for a box (fibre internet offer over 36 months) is now €37.78 per month. For
specific brands: Others include Bouygues (€42.67), Free (€38.03), SFR (€37.33), Sosh (€25.99), and B & You (€25.33). The exact price you will pay does, of course, vary considerably
depending on your needs, usage, whether you are an existing customer, and any offers you use when signing up.
