Euroferries taking bookings on site

CHANNEL FERRY FIRM EUROFERRIES IS TAKING BOOKINGS FOR THE FIRST TIME – BUT PORTS REFUSE TO CONFIRM SERVICE CROSS-CHANNEL ferry company Euroferries has moved a step closer to operation with

the launch of a new website allowing bookings for Ramsgate to Boulogne services from November 14. However the ports of Boulogne and Ramsgate are refusing to confirm any deal has been struck

with the firm, which originally said it would start crossings at the end of March. STORY: Fog surrounds new ferry service The site provides internet booking facilities and a booking line but

when _Connexion_ tried the line we got a message saying it was busy. A recorded message says the first crossing will be on November 13, however the booking part of the site only allows

bookings from the following day. Euroferries’ site states that the firm will provide four crossings a day for cars and passengers, taking just 75 minutes. They will also have “dedicated

Euroferries terminals in Ramsgate and Boulogne include tax-paid shopping areas, restaurants and waiting lounge facilities.” A dedicated coach service will link with Stratford Bus Station in

East London where there is a connection with the underground. The coaches will be “the most modern on the market,” with features like “cinema-style seats,” and fridges, the site says.

Euroferries missed their last announced launch date, which was September 1.
