LOW-COST AIRLINE FORCED TO CANCEL FLIGHTS OUT OF THE PARIS AIRPORT, WITH PASSENGERS ENCOURAGED TO FIND ALTERNATIVE ROUTE PASSENGERS flying from Orly airport in Paris face delays and

cancellations today as a strike by service staff enters its third day. EasyJet is among the worst-hit airlines. It has had to cancel almost all of its flights and has urged travellers to use

other airlines or train services where possible. The cancelled flights include destinations such as Rome, Athens, Nice, Berlin, Geneva, Milan, Toulouse and Budapest. The low-cost carrier

says passengers should check before they head to the airport. The customer services number in France is 08 26 10 33 20, charged at €0.15 a minute from a landline. Another affected airline,

Royal Air Maroc, has moved its flights to Charles de Gaulle airport, north of the capital, and is ferrying passengers there by bus. Staff at Servisair are protesting after they lost the

contract to provide the check-in and refuelling service at Orly’s south terminal to a competitor. They want all the 430 jobs at the airport to be transferred to the new company taking over

the contract at the beginning of November.
