PRODUCTS INCLUDE THIGHS AND WINGS FROM THE WELL-KNOWN LOUÉ BRAND. REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE Chicken thighs and wings from the well-known Loué brand have been removed from shops across France

over fears of listeria contamination. A guinea fowl product has also been recalled for the same reason. Three separate chicken products – a pack of four chicken wings, as well as boxes

containing one or two chicken thighs – are affected. The products were on sale across France in major supermarkets Leclerc, Intermarché, and Systéme U.  The packet of two thighs was also

sold at Carrefour, Casino, Monoprix, Auchan, Francap, and Houra stores. The products can be returned to the store of purchase until July 9 (wings) and July 10 (thighs) for a full refund.

There is a helpline for anyone affected at 02 43 62 64 15.  The wings were sold between May 30 and June 11, and the thighs between May 31 and June 18 (product containing one thigh), or June

3 and June 15 (containing two thighs).  Full information, including GTIN numbers and lot codes, can be found on the official RappelConso product recall site.  Below you will find direct

links for each product:  In addition, a pintade (guinea fowl) sold under the Volaé brand at Intermarché between May 31 and June 10 has also been recalled.  It had the GTIN code 3250390314530

and lot number 0044021739. Refunds are available at the point of purchase, however this is only until July 1.  Although all of these products are now past their expiry dates, consumers may

still have them stored in freezers, hence the recall.  Read more: Why are there more food recalls now in France, that you often post? LISTERIA CONCERNS  The products have been recalled due

to fears of a listeria outbreak.  Listeria is a bacteria that can cause listeriosis, a type of food poisoning.  It is the second most common form of food poisoning related deaths in France.

Listeriosis is particularly lethal for elderly people, young children and babies, and immunocompromised people.  Symptoms include headaches, fever, nausea, and body aches. They can appear up

to eight weeks after eating an infected product. If you experience any of these symptoms and have eaten any of the recalled products, you should immediately contact a doctor. Read more:
