after their pet. Irresponsible owners will be fined €35. “The advantage of the cameras is that the owner can’t deny it because we have the photo,” said Mr Jégo. “I have a lot of complaints
from mothers taking their children to school who find dog mess because the street cleaners haven’t passed yet,” he added. The cameras have been in place in the town for 10 years. Several
cities including Paris, Nice and Chartres have used their CCTV systems to dispense automatic fines for motoring offences, such as double-parking or jumping red lights, but they have yet to
