sent out a warning over a bread item due to allergy fears. The supermarket is urging shoppers not to eat it as it could harm people with a particular allergy. The store is recalling Daily
Bakery 4 Sub Rolls because it may contain undeclared barley which is not mentioned on the label. This poses a potential risk to anyone who has an allergy or intolerance to barley (gluten).
The item affected has a best before date of June 2, 2025. Customers who have bought the item are being asked to return it to their nearest Iceland store. A refund will be provided. Iceland
said in its warning notice: "We are taking the precautionary measure of recalling the date code of the above product as it may contain undeclared barley and therefore poses a potential
risk to people that have an allergy or intolerance to Barley. Only the Best Before date listed in this notice is affected. "If you have purchased any of the above product, DO NOT eat
it." It further adds: "Please return to any Iceland store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required." The warning has also been shared by the Food Standards
Agency. It said: "This product contains barley making it a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to barley. Iceland Foods Limited is recalling the above product
and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall. "Point of sale notices will be displayed in all Iceland retail stores that
are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. "If you have bought the above
product, do not eat it. Instead, return to any Iceland retail store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required." People can also contact Iceland Customer Care on 0800 328
