took place at London's O2 Arena on Thursday evening. He faced off against Welsh sensation Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals, with the pair being the first to take to the stage. Price is

notoriously a magnet for fan ire, with the Welsh player frequently subjected to intense booing and whistling during matches. This season of the Premier League has been tainted by unsavoury

fan behaviour. During the fifth night, Nathan Aspinall was the target of a beer-throwing incident prior to his match against Littler, prompting the world champion to voice his concerns.

Littler himself also endured loud heckling during an event in Glasgow earlier in the season. This regrettable conduct reared its head once more on Thursday night in the capital. Littler was

the unfortunate victim this time, with Price having already been subjected to loud boos before their semi-final even commenced when a pre-recorded interview was broadcast on screens, reports

Littler bent down to remove it from the stage, another unidentified object was hurled from the crowd with significant force. Fortuitously, the projectile sailed over his head and missed

contact. Both Littler and his rival, Price, promptly dispatched the unwelcome objects from the stage before resuming their warm-up tosses. Price endured a relentless wave of boos throughout

the semi-final match yet managed to forge ahead with a promising 6-4 advantage. The contest saw a turn of events following the break as Littler orchestrated an impressive revival, securing

six of the subsequent seven legs to snatch a 10-7 triumph. This remarkable recovery secured Littler's spot in the decisive battle against his formidable adversary Luke Humphries, who

had previously bested Aspinall in his own semi. Unfortunately for Littler, aspirations of consecutive Premier League glory were thwarted. Humphries clinched victory at 11-8, overturning last

year's outcome to claim the tournament for his inaugural win. Throughout the finals, it was believed that Faith Millar, presumed to be Littler's partner, lent her support from the

exclusive VIP area beside Littler's father Anthony Buckley and mother Lisa Littler. The 19 year old Wigan-based beautician finds her roots not far from Littler's own hometown of

Warrington, merely 15 miles apart. Article continues below In May, social media saw Littler share a snapshot of himself arm-in-arm with Millar on Instagram. Post-defeat, a downcast Littler

revealed to Sky Sports his intentions to briefly step away from the sport, saying, "No one likes losing but I am fine. "I am glad to say it's over as it has been a tough 17

weeks. I will be back next year. "I have set many records and I don't think they will be broken. I am going to try and break my own records next season. I will have a little break

now."
