Premier League clubs are already making their eye-catching moves. Facing hotly-contested races for signatures, Manchester United and Chelsea have both made flying starts, while Newcastle

United plot their own spending strategy for the coming months. Bryan Mbeumo remains a top target for the Magpies, who believe they will be able to meet Brentford's demands for the

impressive winger given their new-found financial freedom compared to windows gone by. This, after watching their aforementioned rivals win the early battles for Matheus Cunha and Liam

Delap, respectively. Newcastle have long admired both attackers and held internal conversations over the prospect of signing each of them earlier this year. Instead, it is Mbeumo who the

north east outfit will now attempt to lure to St James' Park in the near future. Manchester United's case is an interesting one. Their worst Premier League season, by a country

mile, means big exits are in the offing to make squad space and free up funds for a Ruben Amorim-backed revamp. The word coming from the red half of Manchester is almost everyone is for

sale. Wolves' Cunha is set to be the first new face through the door as the hot-headed star is promised close to double his Molineux wages upon arrival at Old Trafford. A £62.5m

transfer fee will only add to the lofty financial responsibilities at the club who finished 15th in the Premier League. Delap's likely Chelsea switch is different. Wanted by Newcastle,

the lure of more first-team football alongside Nicolas Jackson rather than behind Alexander Isak has likely swung the pendulum in the Blues' favour. Article continues below Newcastle

will have to navigate that particular problem throughout the summer as they seek to sign an attacker who will, most likely, have to settle for being a backup to the Swede rather than a

regular starter at the point of Eddie Howe's attack. Mbeumo would have no such dilemma upon joining Newcastle and would more than likely be parachuted straight into the Magpies'

XI, despite the exceptional season of Jacob Murphy on the right of the attack. Crucially, it is understood Mbeumo wants to finally enjoy Champions League football after years of failing to

reach Europe with Brentford. That gives Newcastle a huge advantage over some of their transfer rivals, including Manchester United, who have been tipped to make a play for the Cameroon

winger in the coming weeks. “I have spent five years at Brentford, at a club that has allowed me to grow and pass a milestone but yes, I would like to play in the biggest competitions, at

the best clubs," Mbeumo told L'Equipe almost 12 months ago. "It is tantalising to see some big clubs interested in me. We will see." Pressed on whether Mbeumo would be a

Brentford player come next season, Bees boss Thomas Frank recently added to the conversation, saying: “Let’s see. We all love him. I watch him every day. He comes in with a big smile. He
