IT'S A HUGE CAMPAIGN AHEAD FOR EDDIE HOWE'S SIDE AS THEY LOOK TO COMPETE IN EUROPE AND IN DOMESTIC COMPETITIONS 16:00, 27 May 2025 The cheers may still be echoing around St
James' Park from the celebrations which followed Newcastle United's Champions League qualification on Sunday, but already attentions have firmly turned to next season. Eddie
Howe's side will compete with Europe's elite in the new format competition next term, with at least eight matches in the coming campaign. They will combine that with another crack
at domestic silverware, both retaining the Carabao Cup and aiming to win their first FA Cup since 1955. But of course continued success depends on their Premier League position, and the
presure will be on to once again finish in the top echelons of the table and qualify for Europe's top competition. With the plethora of English sides again involved in European football
next season, it's a fair bet that fifth place may again be enough to seal a Champions League spot, but nothing can be taken for granted. United are looking to strengthen their
first-team squad in the summer transfer window, and expect to be able to hold on to their top players, meaning some have even talked about them as potential title candidates. That may feel
like a step to far at this stage for many, but Newcastle have shown they can already mix it with the best of them, and some astute summer signings could lead to an even better 2025-26
campaign. Now, AceOdds' supercomputer have predicted next season's final Premier League table, and it's more good news for United - but not for arch rivals Sunderland. They
have simulated the league seasons 100,000 times and predict United to finish in fifth place again, with the same top five as this season. Liverpool are backed to lift consecutive titles,
again pipping Arsenal to No 1 spot, with United behind Man City and Chelsea. Tottenham and Man Untied are expected to have better seasons, but still struggle to break into the top six. At
the bottom, it's a sorry story for Premier League new boys Sunderland, with Regis Le Bris' Black Cats expected to drop straight back down to the Championship in bottom place,
behind Leeds United and Burnley. Of course a lot can and will happen between now and next May, with the summer's transfer market key to United's chances of being able to cope with
the pressures of playing in Europe. PREDICTED 2025-26 PREMIER LEAGUE TABLE * Liverpool * Arsenal * Man City * Chelsea * NEWCASTLE * Aston Villa * Tottenham * Man United * Bournemouth *
Brighton * Crystal Palace * Brentford * Nottingham Forest * Fulham * Everton * West Ham * Wolves * Leeds United * Burnley * Sunderland _Here at ChronicleLive, we are dedicated to bringing
