counties across the country gear up for soaring temperatures. Utilising data from Met Desk, WX Charts has hinted that the UK could see an impressive hike in mercury levels later this month.

The sweltering heat is expected to embrace areas such as Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey while swathes of Greater London, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire also prepare for high

temperatures. The warmth will spread to Northamptonshire, the Isle of Wight, Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Rutland, ensuring those regions relish the rising thermometer readings.

Adding to the regions anticipating balmy weather conditions are Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, East Riding of Yorkshire, along with North, West, South Yorkshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire,

Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. The prediction by WX Charts indicates that Sunday 15 June could be particularly hot for central and eastern England, forecasting at least 23C for

23 counties, igniting speculation of 29C in London, with potential peaks reaching a blazing 31C.

showers moving through on the breeze. In any sunny spells, it will still feel warm if you are in a sheltered spot but cooler if you are caught in a downpour," reports Nottinghamshire Live.

Showers may be avoided in some areas during the middle of the week but forecasters are predicting rain in Wales on Thursday before moving towards England, which is set to be followed by an

abundance of showers. Scientist Emily Carlisle, of the Met Office, added: "The UK's climate continues to change. What's particularly notable about Spring 2025 is the combination of record

warmth and sunshine, alongside very low rainfall.

"This spring shows some of the changes we're seeing in our weather patterns, with more extreme conditions, including prolonged dry, sunny weather, becoming more frequent. The data clearly

shows that recent decades have been warmer, sunnier, and often drier than the 20th century average, although natural variation will continue to play a role in the UK's weather."
