Wrexham afc investing in a new permanent club shop

Wrexham AFC is investing to create a new permanent club shop following its promotion to the Championship. The football club, owned by Hollywood actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, has

agreed a lease deal on a 17,000 sq ft unit at the Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre in the centre of Wrexham. International real estate advisor Savills acting on behalf of owners of the shopping

centre, EEH Ventures and Adynaton Asset Management, struck the deal with the world’s third oldest professional football club. Following a successful pop-up store last November, Wrexham AFC

will join a string of new tenants attracted to Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre over the past 12 months. They include Airhop, Footasylum, Nouveau Restaurant + Bar, Foundry Gym, M1 Nails, Cwtch

Ceramic Café, Geek Barbers and Geek Cabin. Eagles Meadow Shopping Centre provides nearly 400,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and catering space. Adam Sanderson, a surveyor in the town retail

team at Savills, said: “This deal not only marks a major milestone for Wrexham AFC, which is growing at a phenomenal rate both on and off the pitch, but also for Eagles Meadow Shopping

Centre. The shopping centre is seeing increased appetite from a diverse mix of occupiers, further reinforcing its position as North Wales’s premier shopping and leisure destination.” Kevin

the area gains more international recognition, we anticipate greater levels of footfall from both locals and tourists alike, keen to make the most of all that Wrexham has to offer.” The

terms of the lease have not been disclosed. The shop will open this summer ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
