ALPEN CEREAL BARS HAVE NOW PERMANENTLY DISAPPEARED FROM SUPERMARKET SHELVES. 07:27, 21 May 2025 Weetabix has quietly discontinued a breakfast favourite across all UK supermarkets. Alpen
cereal bars have now permanently disappeared from supermarket shelves. A spokesperson said: "As part of our focus on long term growth and simplifying the business, we made the decision
to discontinue Alpen bars in 2024. This change enabled us to redeploy our teams toward our most valuable products, supporting the continued growth of our core operations. "We’re pleased
to confirm that, as a result of this decision, the majority of our brilliant people chose to stay and help us to remain focused on delivering the great-tasting, nutritious products our
consumers know and trust." READ MORE NEW UK PRIMARY SCHOOL DINNER RULES WITH SOME STAPLES BEING 'BANNED' One fan fumed: "I’m the exact niche person for this post as I
have genuinely been looking for alpen bars the past few weeks!! A very genuine and serious thank you for your service emailing them." A second raged: "My early morning, pre-swim
ritual for the past five years has been a coffee and Alpen bar (strawberry yoghurt my personal favourite), and I have been searching for these for weeks since they disappeared off the
shelves. Article continues below "Thanks for your diligent service! I am now moving over to the Nutella B-Ready, it’ll never be the same." A third said: "Oh no! I must have
been eating too many FibreOne products instead! Sorry Alpen! I used to eat so many Alpen bars when I was younger" "Omg I remember them from when I was a kid! That's really sad
actually I loved those bars (can't have them anymore due to discontinued but also gluten intolerance)," another raged. And another said: "Maybe Jet2 will start including
something a little nicer with the meals on flights before 10am now. Post 10am get cheese, crackers and a chocolate dessert; before 10am get an Alpen bar." Article continues below
"Ah, alpen bars. Not a big fan of them, but I feel sad for Weetabix as a company! If I'm going for a light bar I go for skinny or bliss bars, or just like, little rice krispie/coco
pops bars!" another commented. Another typed: "I dunno, like "we've discontinued this product", as opposed to literally scrubbing any evidence of their existence
from their website? You can see cached pages in a Google search that now have no content when clicked. "Nothing major, just a post as I literally couldn't find any information on
it anywhere and kept checking shops for them — trying to save other people the time/effort."
