A WOMAN HAS SHARED A VIDEO OF HERSELF AT A CAR BOOT SALE WHERE SHE FOUND A NUMBER OF 'RETIRED' JELLYCATS - INCLUDING ONE WITH TAGS FOR LESS THAN A THIRD OF ITS USUAL PRICE 15:39,

21 May 2025 Jellycats are all the rage, and it seems the craze is only growing thanks to their popularity all over social media. Collectors are going to great lengths to get their hands on

the toys. But some resellers are hiking up prices, putting Jellycats out of many people's budgets. So one woman was astounded to find a 'retired' Jellycat with tags at a

fraction of its usual price. But what is a retired Jellycat? These are designs that have ceased production, making way for new characters. Once a Jellycat is retired, however, it becomes

more of a rare find, often driving up its value. Becky's Bazaar took to social media to share her find, exclaiming she discovered "retired Jellycats at the boot sale." Becky

was impressed by the couple selling the items, who were the "biggest Jellycat fans" and knowledgeable about their collectables. The man running the stall assured Becky that their

Jellycats were "half the price of what they are online," noting that "most of them are retired." Article continues below His partner further clarified that while a few

were still available in shops, the majority wouldn't be making a comeback. Among their collection was a Jellycat highland cow cushion, which can fetch up to £100 online, but Becky had

seen another seller demanding as much as £300. Becky couldn't believe her luck when she spotted a Jellycat Merryday cow plushie at the market stall. The savvy seller was asking for £30.

However, Becky knew that online, this cuddly critter could fetch an impressive £84, and possibly more with tags still attached. The stall owner eventually dropped the price to £25, and

Becky, unable to resist such a bargain, decided to take the adorable creature home. "Shall we? £25?" she queried her partner, who was mulling over a tagless campfire toy priced at

£15. Article continues below With the deal done, Becky carefully bagged the cow to keep it pristine. Online, one user commented: "That's a good price for the cow! Not really sure

who's buying that campfire for £120 online though." Another shared a heartwarming tale: "I bought a cow, the black and white one, 26yrs ago, for a friend's first born,

she took that cow everywhere, still her fave toy and sits in her room, best present I've ever bought."
