The Symi String Swimsuit was also appreciated by a mum-of-two, who said it made her 'feel good'.

Boden said the string-tie halterneck had a cut-out back and lightly padded fixed cups, making it "practical enough for swimming" and "chic enough for lounging by the pool".

The Symi String Swimsuit comes in nine different colours and patterns, with prices ranging from £31.50 to £70, with 15 per cent available off new styles using code PQ4D at the checkout.

Available in sizes six to 22, shoppers can choose from a regular or long fit.

A five-star review of the Symi String Swimsuit from one shopper read: "Finally a swimsuit that fits me and is long enough in the body.

"I'm 5ft11 and often even the long version of Boden swimsuits don't work for me, but I got a 10L and it is perfect. Love the thin straps on this too."

Another review of the Symi String Swimsuit said: "I'm very happy with this purchase. The fit is actually perfect and completely in line with my normal size.

"The top half is completely secured (I'm a 34C). The legs are flatteringly slightly higher than normal.

"The bust does come low at the v but not too low at all. I took quite some time choosing and I'm very pleased with this."

Other swimsuits available in tall sections include this Black Tropical Palm Ladder Trim Swimsuit from Long Tall Sally, priced £42.

Next also stocks tall sizes in the Coral Pink Lace Shaping Tummy Control Swimsuit, which costs £34.

However a four-star review for the Symi String Swimsuit stated: "I'm very picky about swimsuits, I want them to both look good and be practical to actually swim in, and I love this in the

funky red geo print, it's a bit different.

"After two kids it actually makes me feel good! Good bum coverage, not too much but also no wedgie yey!

"I'm a 5'9 size 12-14 and got the 14, I'd have got the long but it wasn't available, luckily regular seems to fit fine so I'd say it's long in the body.

"I find with these string halter necks I don't get enough support as I'm a DD cup size, and if I do tie them tight enough to get support then the string cuts painfully into my neck.

"However with the design of this one I managed to tie it as a cross back which is much better. Appreciate the versatility!"

However Elizabeth found the Symi String Swimsuit was the "wrong shape" for her and gave it a two-star rating.

Article continues below She said: "Returned. Lovely colour and design. I was tempted to buy after seeing this modelled by someone with more curves than usual.

"Unfortunately there was still too little coverage for my chest so the designers are still designing for pear-shaped women in the larger sizes."
