ACCORDING TO WEATHER MAPS FROM WXCHARTS, SNOW AND RAIN WILL HIT MULTIPLE COUNTIES IN THE UK, WHILE THE COLDEST TEMPERATURES WILL BE SEEN IN SCOTLAND, WHERE -8C IS EXPECTED 16:29, 11 Mar
2025Updated 16:35, 11 Mar 2025 The latest weather forecasts indicate that the UK is set to experience icy blasts this March, with several counties poised for impact. Weather charts from
WXCHARTS predict that on Wednesday 26 March at 12 noon, snowfall is expected in northern Wales and Scotland. England will see snow primarily in the north, with Cumbria anticipated to receive
the heaviest snowfall. While other regions may avoid the snow, rain is forecasted to sweep across most of the country, with most parts of England expecting less than 1mm of rain per hour,
leaving few areas untouched by the damp conditions. As for the temperatures, they're set to take a dive. By Thursday 27 March at midnight, many areas across the UK are predicted to be
below freezing point. Article continues below The cold snap will bring a mix of snow and rain towards the end of March, with the chilliest readings expected in Scotland, where temperatures
could drop to around -8C near Inverness. Further south, in the Midlands and southern England, the mercury is likely to hover around 0C, although some spots might experience an even colder
-4C, reports the Express. The Met Office has provided a forecast stating: "Confidence is low, but through the end of March changeable weather patterns are most likely." Article
continues below They added: "This means periods of unsettled, wet and windy weather interspersed with some drier and brighter spells." Looking ahead into early April, there's
potential for a shift towards more frequent dry and settled conditions. Temperatures are projected to be above average overall. This update follows a brief spell of warmer weather during the
first week of March.
