Women performed sex act on each other in shop doorway as kids walked to school

another in a shop doorway. Sarah Crawford and Rosalind Fitzgerald were heavily intoxicated having been to an all-night party. They engaged in the behaviour as children walked past on their

both women have pleaded guilty to outraging public decency. Crawford, 39, of Bardolph Road, in North Shields, and Fitzgerald, 42, of Beacon Lough Road, in Low Fell, Gateshead, were in the

dock at Newcastle Magistrates' Court this week for sentence. Prosecutor, Paul Anderson, said the women had been at a party until the morning of December 11 last year. He said:

"Essentially, both parties had been to an all-night party, drinking into the early hours. "They then engaged in the conduct you have heard about outside a shop at 8.45am to the

disgust of passers-by. "Also, at that time of day, there would have been children going to school." Fitzgerald, who already owes £12,000 to the courts, had a number of difficulties

in her life and had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity, the court was told. Defending Fitzgerald, Alanna Wesencraft said: "She's incredibly disgusted in herself.

"She's lightly convicted and was last before the courts in 2019." Magistrates gave her a 12-month community order and fined her £120. Andy O'Hanlon, defending Crawford,

applied for an adjournment so a pre-sentence report could be prepared on his client. Article continues below Magistrates agreed and released Crawford on bail to next appear back at the same

court on July 4.
