Major uk energy firm launches new tariff offering up to £200 in savings

affordable, and shared housing that have solar panels and Octopus-optimised batteries. According to Octopus, this could help save tenants up to £200 a year when compared to standard tariffs

currently available on the market. It has been set up to encourage landlords to invest in green energy for their properties, making the process a "win-win" for both them and their

system * The tenant switches to Octopus and agrees to its Terms and Conditions * The tenant gets their regular monthly bill, including the 'Tenant Power' discount * A monthly

report of income is shared with the landlord to invoice against. Nigel Banks, Zero Bills director at Octopus Energy, said: “One of the biggest blockers to scaling green social housing has

been the lack of incentives for landlords. ‘Tenant Power’ removes that barrier by giving landlords a clear return on their investment in low-carbon tech, while delivering meaningful savings

for tenants. “It’s a win-win model for both landlord and tenant, which helps accelerate the rollout of affordable, sustainable housing.” It comes after the energy supplier launched the Zero

Bills Standard, which aims to address how homes are built in the UK with sustainable practices at the forefront. Under this tariff, residents can move into homes equipped with
