for Work and Pensions (DWP). Benefit payments rose by 1.7% on April 7, which was in line with the consumer price index (CPI) level of inflation for September 2024. But because of how


assessment periods work, some won't receive the uplift until June. The date you will receive the pay boost depends on when your last assessment period was. Those whose assessment period

meaning you'll get it in your payment on June 1. If your assessment period is March 29 to April 28 then the increase will be applied in June, meaning you'll get it in your payment
